Overview

National Insurance Services (NIS) is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Sales - Insured Products. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales, this role oversees all sales and field service operations within the Insured Product division.


What You'll Do

  • Hire, manage and develop Insured Product salespeople.
  • Manage and develop Account Representative Manager.
  • Serve on the Management Team. Participate and support major company initiatives (Rocks).
  • Develop and execute vertical sales strategy.
  • Provide input on vertical service strategy.
  • Develop and manage regional strategic relationships (MSBA, NASB, CESA's, etc.)
  • Develop and manage regional agent relationships (Sutton, Walsh, Wanderscheid, Becker, etc.)
  • Follow AP quarterly check in process on employee performance.
  • Quarterly spend at least one day in the field with each sales rep.
  • Monthly prospecting/pipeline reviews.
  • Sales training/development using the Mike Weinberg 'New Sales Simplified Approach.'
  • Provide input to Marketing when requested.
  • Manage large case RFP response and finalist presentations including participating in pre-quote calls and post quote/pre-submission strategic review calls. Participate in finalist calls on large cases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Experience: Minimum of five years in a sales environment, or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience in group insurance is highly desirable.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including multiple overnight stays per month.
  • Event Participation: Capability to attend conferences and networking events.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent organizational abilities.
    • Proficiency in reading and comprehending insurance contract language.
    • Strong command of the English language, both oral and written.
    • High level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy.
    • Proficiency in various computer software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Work Environment:
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and demands.
    • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
