Job Description
We are currently working with an OEM in Marion County, IL that is looking to fill the role of a Process Engineer. Under the guidance of Engineering team leaders, the candidate develops, coordinates, and participates in developing and implementing new processes and technology.
Main responsibilities:
New products, processes, equipment, and materials:
In collaboration with other company departments, the engineer suggests, investigates, and implements new materials, manufacturing processes, methods, or equipment to optimize production and reduce non-quality costs.
Continuous improvement projects:
Evaluate the objectives, the difficulties, the activities to be carried out, the costs, and the return on investment; monitor projects and measure results.
Process control:
Determines the important parameters to control in production and establishes practices and procedures to ensure process control.
Professional skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or other similar discipline
• Continuous improvement certification (green belt, black belt)
Minimum relevant experience required:
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar position
• Knowledge of robotics and automation is an asset
• Knowledge of process control
• Bilingual in English-Spanish is a plus
Experience with Compression Molding, HMI and PLC
The salary range is $70-80k DOE
This position is on-site.
