Have you thought about getting more involved in your community? Your unique skills could be the key to our success! The Urbandale Food Pantry is currently seeking applicants for the Board of Directors. This could be a great fit for you if you have a background in either:
- Fundraising, sales, or nonprofit donor management;
- Marketing, communications, website development, social media management, or strategic communication planning;
- Financial management, accounting, tax planning, or investments.
Board members volunteer about two to four hours of their time per month and serve a three-year term (with the ability to serve for a maximum of two consecutive terms). The duties of the Board include:
- Governance of the Urbandale Food Pantry;
- Approval of the annual budget;
- Development, refinement, and implementation of the strategic plan;
- Participation in fundraising and donor development;
- Collaboration with UFP staff to carry out the mission of the UFP.
Board members also serve on at least one committee, including: Governance, Finance, Advancement, or Internal Operations.
