As the Director of Training and Development, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive sales training programs aimed at empowering Airoom’s in-home design consultants and sales teams. Your role will directly contribute to the development of strategic initiatives that align with company sales objectives, focusing on improving overall sales performance, driving consultative selling skills, and enhancing customer interactions. • Conduct Ongoing Training & Workshops: Lead regular training sessions and hands-on workshops to educate and upskill in-home design consultants (outside sales reps) on Airoom’s unique sales methodology, presentation techniques, customer engagement strategies, sales processes, product warranties, and the use of technology tools for lead generation and sales tracking.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Work closely with the Director of Sales and Senior Level Management to ensure that training programs are aligned with company-wide sales goals, initiatives, and evolving market conditions. Constantly seek feedback and ways to improve program content and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and Assess Sales Consultant Progress: Evaluate the performance, growth, and potential of sales consultants throughout their 90-day training program. Provide actionable feedback and recommendations regarding their readiness for graduation or further development. Incorporate regular role-playing scenarios to ensure practical application of training content.
  • Onboarding and Continuous Development Programs: Develop and manage a robust onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are set up for success. Provide continuous professional development opportunities for the sales team to keep them engaged, motivated, and up to date with industry trends and new selling techniques.
  • Create Training Materials and Resources: Assist the Director of Sales in creating high-quality training content, including presentations, manuals, job aids, and e-learning modules. Maintain an organized library of training resources that are accessible to all team members for ongoing development.
  • Track and Report Training Metrics: Measure the effectiveness of training programs by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales performance, training participation, and feedback from sales consultants. Provide regular reports to senior management to assess the impact of training efforts.

  • A passion for educating, mentoring, and training others to excel in consultative selling.
  • Proficiency in modern sales techniques and strategies , with the ability to train and motivate sales consultants to adopt these practices.
  • Experience in in-home consultative sales and/or knowledge of residential home remodeling is highly desirable.
