General Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Manager preferably with experience in some of the following: demolition, mold remediation, and construction. This role requires strong leadership skills to oversee operations, manage employees, and ensure all tasks are completed to high standards. The ideal candidate must be comfortable performing hands-on tasks like working in crawlspaces, attics, managing deep cleaning projects, and handling chemicals, all while maintaining a sharp attention to detail.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise and ensure proper completion of mold remediation and demolition projects.
2. Oversee tasks like crawlspace entry, spraying chemicals, and deep cleaning.
3. Ensure employees are following safety protocols and using proper PPE, including respirators and Tyvek suits.
4. Monitor and maintain company vehicles and ensure regular servicing.
5. Manage workshop cleanliness and organization, keeping tools and supplies in order.
6. Oversee scheduling, employee performance, and training.
7. Maintain payroll within budget and control labor costs.
8. Handle hiring, firing, and managing laborers.
9. Ensure compliance with safety standards and job quality expectations.
10. Track and report on job progress, providing updates to upper management.

Skills

1. Proven experience in demolition, mold remediation, and employee management.
2. Attention to detail, especially when dealing with chemicals and deep cleaning.
3. Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills to manage employees and client relationships.
5. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and workshop organization.
6. Familiarity with safety regulations and ensuring compliance on job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
