DESCRIPTION:
As a QC Engineer at WDF Inc., reporting to a Sr Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
Ensure construction matches what is defined in the approved plans.
Oversight of field construction activities
Quality Assurance assistance in the office and field as necessary
Coordination of commissioned laboratories and managing assignments for inspection/sampling/testing of source materials
Prepares and manages, QA submittals and maintain all necessary QA documentation to support the quality department .
Support the project in technical matters and determines when field assistance is needed.
Managing quality inspections at the manufacturer’s yard/shop as required
Conduct qualification audits of fabricator facilities. Lead pre-audit meetings, conduct site audits and prepare audit reports.
Assist with developing the quality section of various work plans for features of work(s)
Development and implementation of quality programs under the supervision of the Quality Manager/ Quality Assurance Manager
Provide support to the project with Quality, and Safety issues
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in support of heavy civil construction QC testing and inspection on large public works projects.ma or GED certification is required
Experience with construction contract specifications, concrete mix designs, construction submittals, testing procedures, inspection of concrete steel reinforcement and form work on bridge decks, beams, box culverts, columns, footings, utilities and roadway
Microsoft office (word & excel)
ACI or other industry related certifications are a plus
Excellent written and verbal skills
Salary for this position is $80,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
