Summary
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for accurately processing and posting complete customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring that the customer's required delivery dates are met. Other responsibilities include processing and posting purchase order receipts and ensuring inventory levels are current and entered accurately. The Warehouse Clerk communicates with logistics providers, FTL/LTL carriers and small package/air freight carriers to arrange pickup and transportation of finished goods; as well as suppliers, purchasing, sales, quality, production, and warehouse personnel to ensure that all inventory related issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders utilizing our Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Check and verify outbound shipments for accuracy, ensure that product meets customer requirements and order is shipped in full
  • Create packing lists, bills of lading (BOL), shipping labels, etc. to ensure that proper documentation is prepared prior to pick up and all product shipped is accurately accounted for
  • Maintains records of all goods shipped
  • Schedules and coordinates freight (FTL, LTL, small package and/or air pickups)
  • Receives purchase orders into the WMS
  • Check and verifies inbound shipments for accuracy and to ensure that product meets OXCO requirements and customer requirements
  • Creates barcoded labels as needed for all inbound materials
  • Processes customer returns and shipments to vendors for outsourced converting
  • Maintains records of all goods received
  • Records and documents all receipt discrepancies including damages, shortages, overages, and vendor non - compliances
  • Reports any shipment, receiving or customer issues and communicates with sales, supply chain, quality, production and/or warehouse teams to troubleshoot issues/complaints that arise and works to solve them
  • Monitors and tracks inventory levels, and participates in cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Identify and communicate any safety concerns and report any property damage
  • Flexibility to train and work in multiple areas
  • Other duties as assigned
Raise any issues or concerns that arise during day-to-day work to the supervisor
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Skills Required
  • Computer - proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Mathematical reasoning - perform mathematical and measurement conversions
  • High attention to detail - accuracy in entering data and in communicating information with others; ability to see errors and identify inconsistencies
  • Problem Solving - work independently and with others to resolve issues
  • Collaboration - Work effectively with sales team and other personnel to achieve established outcomes
  • Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Multi-tasking - Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks with deadlines
