VACO Atlanta has partnered with a valued and growing client to hire a Credit Analyst to assist with the processing of credit applications for a new initiative. The role involves analyzing the financial viability of potential clients and monitoring the existing client portfolio to ensure credit quality and manage risk. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, support the AR group with client collections, and perform customer due diligence.

Compensation:   $28 - $31 per hour
Hours:                   M-F; 8:30 – 5pm
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze prospective clients using financial analysis techniques, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow measurements, as well as industry factors and portfolio concentration.
  • Establish scalable, efficient, and automated credit analysis processes.
  • Coordinate with teams to develop financial reporting dashboards.
  • Review and make decisions on business credit applications in line with underwriting standards and company guidelines.
  • Assess risk and profitability, communicating credit decisions and negotiating applications effectively.
  • Research, approve/decline, and monitor existing clients for additional exposure.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual credit reviews on clients based on departmental procedures.
  • Build relationships with the sales team and maintain credit files, tracking and analyzing financial information.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance, with formal commercial credit training.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of commercial credit analysis experience, preferably within a financial institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit analysis and commercial credit regulations.
  • Preferred experience with SQL, Python, or R (or similar programming languages) and Excel/VBA.
  • Preferred proficiency in developing Tableau or Power BI dashboards.
