Job Requirements / Description

The Manufacturing Engineer designs, builds, maintains and improves processes, machines and tools within the plant to ensure a safe, efficient and productive operation for all assigned manufacturing processes. Will work with Production, Engineering and Quality to ensure continuous improvement as well as supporting new program launches, equipment, machinery and technology changes. In addition, this individual needs to be a dedicated and professional who likes to provide practical solutions.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Create Routings, work instructions, and other production documentation, with the responsibility for revision control and maintenance.
  •   Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from Lean initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing-related issues, including those related to robotics and logic controllers.
  • Program and maintain robots and logic controllers to ensure optimal production efficiency.
  • Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process.
  • Manage the calibration program to ensure compliance with procedures and ISO standard.
  • Create processes and procedures to help the company meet customer performance requirements.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaborating and cohesion
  • Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes and equipment using CAD software.
  • Oversee / perform assembly of high-pressure units according to customer requirements.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis of non-conforming product and implement necessary production changes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, assembly, production, or similar industries is preferred.
  • Act as liaison between production and Engineering to answer questions on jobs / builds.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of employees is required.
  • Production equipment evaluation and troubleshooting
  • Travel as necessary (limited)

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience with creation of work instructions, routings, and procedures.
  • Experience with ERP software packages ,Global Shop preferred.
  • Computer proficiency: familiarity with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar suite is required.

Education and Experience:

  • Education:  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Years of experience: 4+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Technician
  • Years of experience supervising: None.
