Your Role at OrthoAlaska:

As the HR Director at OrthoAlaska, you will be responsible for all human resources functions for a workforce of more than 500 employees. You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and you will oversee the efforts of two other full-time HR personnel.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the goals and objectives of OrthoAlaska.
  • Oversee all aspects of the employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Partner with management to identify and address workforce issues, and to develop solutions that drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Manage HR staff and provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of employee engagement programs, including recognition programs, surveys, and communication strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues.
  • Develop and execute training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, and to support the company's talent management goals.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and develop recommendations to improve HR processes and programs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to support a culture of respect, understanding, and inclusivity.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.
  • Maintain HRIS and other HR systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency, and to support data-driven decision making.
  • Work in partnership with the payroll team to ensure timeliness and accuracy in matters of payroll and timekeeping.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources management, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Able to work in-person at OrthoAlaska's Anchorage headquarters and travel occasionally to satellite locations in Anchorage and elsewhere

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in human resources management, preferably in a healthcare setting
