DescriptionSchedule :Monday - Friday (40 hrs/wk) (Some flexibility in schedule)6:00 AM -2:30 PMDepartment: ASM Group - 238Primary Purpose :The Project Specialist I is an entry-level position responsible to provide support to staff and team members on special projects from the standpoint of training, support, methodology, and documentation. Develop schedules for both proposal inclusion and ongoing project/program development. May facilitate the development of departmental and divisional projects including project definition and scope, deliverables, risk assessment, project tracking, and status reporting.In relation to the responsibilities of a Project Specialist I, a project is defined as a one-time endeavor with an established end date, and the Project Specialist I serves as a resource assigned to support the project, to meet the project requirements and to achieve the project deliverables.Position may specialize in functional areas, such as Information Technology or Laboratory, which may require additional specific skill and experience. Consider joining our dynamic team.Essential Functions :Supports department staff in project management activities.Assists in the planning and implementation of small and medium projects with oversight.Supports aspects of complex projects as requested.Coordinates and collaborates with subject matter experts to conduct data analysis and risk assessments in relation to compliance with established procedures.Presents analysis results to managers, the Project Management Office, or senior management.Coordinates communications as warranted by project scope.Tracks proposed projects and track and resolve issues related to the proposed projects.Functions as liaison with internal customers on proposed projects.Ensures that proper processes are being followed and assist in establishing new processes as required.IT Specialists may also require· Supports ARUP developed and purchased software products· Additional training and support for specific IT applications, interfaces, or systems· New version testing· Various IT administrative dutiesOther duties as assignedPhysical and Other Requirements :Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies. ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
