About the Role
Define technical specifications and development requirements that result in high performing technologies that are also domain specific with technical specifications provided in UI frontend and middleware tech stack. Develop and enhance product and/or applications with limited direction to solve business problems of medium complexity by keeping customer experience at the forefront along with the tech stack that is used in the Gap ecosystem. Adopt and model a DevOps mindset by applying test automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery in everything we do. Foster innovation by applying best practices and learning from emerging technologies and through collaboration with cross functional stakeholders. Ensure emerging technology fits with the tech stack that’s in use within the Gap ecosystem. Serve as an application expert in support of domain areas. Communicate difficult concepts, providing technical and professional interpretations and recommendations. Advise and mentor junior team members and enable collaboration to help teams achieve their best. Telecommuting permissible from anywhere in the US.
Salary Range: $180,960- $185,960. Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
What You'll Do
- UI Styling: HTML5, CSS3, XHTML, SASS and LESS CSS;
- JavaScript; jQuery, Node.js, Backbone.JS, VUE.JS, React.JS, Angular.JS, AJAX and JSON;
- Frontend Architectures, including MVC (Model-View-Controller), MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel);
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to coding standards, using meaningful variable and function names, modularizing code, and applying design patterns;
- Agile Development Methodology, including Jira, to manage and deliver software projects;
- DevOps Process and tools, including Jenkins, JobsDSL and Docker to improve deployment frequency, achieve faster time-to-market, and lower the failure rate of new releases;
- Development tools and source control, including: Visual Code, version control system Github, and collaboration tools Jira and Trello.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in a UI frontend, server side and middleware-related role or in the job offered. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science or related field and one (1) year of experience in a UI frontend, server side and middleware-related role or in the job offered. Any suitable combination of education, experience, or training acceptable.
