Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Practice Manager to provide operational and administrative support to our physicians and practice administrators. This role involves overseeing policies and procedures, billing-related training, and managing relationships with managed care organizations. The Practice Manager will act as a liaison within Mount Sinai Medical Center to ensure efficient non-financial service delivery to our participating physician practices.


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of medical insurance experience, including medical office administration and benefit verification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in revenue cycle management and P&L reviews.
  • Strong presentation skills related to metrics and practice performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning, training, and implementation of new practice conversions to the billing system.
  • Develop and establish efficient site procedures for data input and billing.
  • Create and oversee uniform training programs for billing activities and performance metrics.
  • Communicate with administrators and physicians to address third-party reimbursement modifications and service delivery arrangements.
  • Plan and coordinate capital equipment procurement and space allocation for practices.
  • Liaise with department heads and other stakeholders to ensure the resolution of non-financial service issues.
  • Supervise personnel activities including hiring, training, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that supports departmental and organizational goals.
  • Evaluate practice office support systems and implement improvements for efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for emergency coverage and provide guidance and training to staff.

Education Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in managing operational workflows, facility issues, and emergency management protocols.
  • Knowledge of digital access tools and patient engagement platforms.
  • Familiarity with performance and service recovery metrics.
