Job Requirements / Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the successful candidate will work within the Warehouse to ensure that all incoming and outgoing products are accurately documented and properly received, identified, packaged, moved, shipped and stored. Utilize sound material handling, shipping and receiving practices to support Total Customer Satisfaction, zero defects and 100% on-time delivery for all internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all shipments made are accurately documented, properly protected per customer and company specifications and arrive at our customer's destination on time, without damage.
  • Ensure that all raw material and/or finished goods are accurately received, properly identified with a CPI Item number including barcode label, safely moved and delivered to or stored in a proper location utilizing first in-first out storage and shipment objective.
  • Load/unload trucks with material in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Support employees performing value-added activities and other duties as required by Warehouse Manager
  • Active participant in cross functional team, committee or special project with the objective of personal development or mentoring other employees in an area of expertise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the company team to make it more efficient, safe and an enjoyable place to work.

Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of Material Handling experience required; a suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
Strength in the following areas required:
  • Barcode Scanner Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably plastic related.
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • HILO License
Experience in the following areas is preferred:
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience
  • ERP/MRP
Physical Demands:
  • Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs.
  • This employee works in the warehouse and loading docks which may be subject to cold and hot working conditions.
  • Safety glasses, hearing protection and closed toe shoe must be worn on the production floor
