CNC Operator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our team through a third-party staffing agency. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, altering programs, and operating CNC machine centers while ensuring production efficiency and quality. This is an opportunity to work closely with engineers and the Machine Shop Supervisor to improve CNC programs and machine performance.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust programs, and operate CNC machine centers.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machines.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
• Complete required documentation for all parts produced, including verifying parts against specifications and prints.
• Assist the Machine Shop Supervisor with process improvements for CNC programs.
• Plan machining tasks by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications.
• Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances to ensure parts meet required standards.
• Maintain accurate production and quality logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance by following manufacturer's instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
