Medical Director

Position: Medical Director (Friedrich's Ataxia)

Location: Remote - East Coast

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6-9 month Contract to Hire

Job Description: Our client is looking for an experience medical director to join their Worldwide Medical Affairs Team. This individual will be supporting the Friedrich's Ataxia therapeutic area. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD and a solid understanding of the biotech industry, bringing a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to their work. This role requires a collaborative team player who can navigate complex external engagements and contribute to evidence generation strategies.

Qualifications:

• PhD in relevant field
• 5-10 years of medical experience within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
• MSL (medical science liaison) experience
• Experience with neurology, immunology, rare disease, or Friedrich's ataxia
• Must be located on the east coast
• Interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate successful collaboration

Responsibilities:

• Support post-marketing studies for Friedrich's Ataxia
• Support global advisory boards and collaborative research initiatives
• Understanding of registries, safety studies (PASS), and external engagements
• Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders
