Enterprise Systems Engineer (University Grad) Responsibilities:

  • Combine open-source, in house, and commercial technologies to build services that will have an impact on the business.
  • Work in a heterogeneous environment containing diverse operating systems and applications, and make them work well together.
  • Apply modern engineering methodologies such as infrastructure as code, Linux container orchestration, and software-defined storage to scale Meta's rapidly growing Enterprise infrastructure.
  • Find ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger Meta infrastructure to solve problems for Enterprise customers.
  • Be an escalation point for issues related to the team's products.
  • Produce systems that are scalable, automated, and well-documented, and train others to help with operations.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to ensure the team is building what customers really need and broadcasting out to the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • Experience in full stack development.
  • Experience coding in at least one of the following languages: Hack (or PHP), React, Python, or Go.
  • Experience working with monitoring and configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef.
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building services.
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
