FULL-TIME URGENT CARE VETERINARIAN

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Education:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited college of veterinary medicine

Professional Licenses/Certifications:

  • Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) is required
  • Washington State Veterinary Board License in good standing
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) licensure or DEA licensure eligible

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Three or more years of experience as a veterinarian
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and local laws and regulations regarding veterinary medicine
  • Knowledge of veterinary hospital practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills with a client-oriented approach
  • Effective decision-making skills to determine the optimal method for treating a variety of medical ailments and disorders
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships to gain trust and establish credibility with clients and staff
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to proactively identify issues and formulate solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
