What will your role be?
As a key player a Site Manager, you will ensure project efficiency and compliance. You will manage resources, coordinate activities among contractors and customers, and provide technical support to site teams. Your responsibilities include monitoring project progress, addressing non-conformities, and developing safety prevention plans. Additionally, you will actively participate in performance improvement initiatives. With your mechanical engineering background, you will effectively tackle technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Activities:
- Guarantee the availability of manufacturing, supplies, or subcontracting services required by the project in terms of technique, cost, deadlines, and quality
- Participate in various design and progress reviews to provide “manufacturing management” expertise
- Provide technical support to subcontractors and/or suppliers to anticipate and guarantee the conformity of expected products or subcontracted services
- Draw up the specific documents needed to ensure that the project runs smoothly, including safety and prevention plans
- Report all quality system malfunctions to your line manager and/or the quality management
- Propose improvements as part of the continuous improvement system
- Draw up and update the site schedule in line with the project schedule
- Define and adjust the resources required for the site (material and human resources)
- Participate in technical meetings to define the data required for the smooth site progress
- Manage co-activity with the customer and internal and external contractors
- Coordinate the operational phases of integration and commissioning
- Provide technical support to site teams
- Participate in design reviews and definition of product architecture to anticipate development problems
- Manage the various on-site assembly and adjustment operations, and coordinate the work of all involved
- Write technical specifications
- Monitor subcontracted manufacturing batches
- Handle modifications or non-conformities from subcontractors
- Prepare and lead qualification tests and recipes (material and documentary resources)
- Trace non-conformities detected on site and implement action plans when needed
- Monitor the project from an economic point of view and justify any discrepancies to the project manager and line supervisor
- Report on activity to line manager
- Guarantee technical and economic results within its scope
What skills and qualifications are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Experience in an industrial mechanical environment, with the ability to propose appropriate solutions; experience in aeronautics is preferred
- Relevant experience in project coordination and management
- Relevant experience in team leadership, including planning, task allocation, and organization of roles and responsibilities
- Proven experience in industrial site management, encompassing technical, human, and financial aspects
- Strong focus on customer-oriented planning
