Atlantic Hotels Management is looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our group as an Entry Level Staff Accountant. A bachelor's degree in Accounting is a requirement.

Atlantic Hotel Management is a rapidly growing asset management company that relies heavily on accurate property accounting to ensure investments are making their targeted returns.

Accountants are responsible for 4-5 properties at any time. Here is a breakdown of the typical duties that a property accountant at Atlantic Hotels is responsible for:

1. Rolling in the daily revenue reports from each entity
2. Daily reconciliation of all bank accounts
3. Weekly review of Accounts Receivable from the hotels - Accountant must analyze the receivability of aged accounts
4. Weekly reviews and postings of accounts payable and cutting checks
5. Monthly preparation of Financial Statements including: Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Trial balance. Preliminary financial statements are due on the 10th and final preliminaries are due on the 15th of every month
6. Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
7. Monthly tax Sales and Use and Hotel occupancy tax filings
8. Yearly budget creation. Every year, you will follow guidance provided by market experts and upper management to work with the general manager to create an accurate forecast and budget for the following year
9. Yearly income tax return filings. You will work with the tax preparers we contract with to make any appropriate year-end adjustments to the financials to ensure income taxes are filed timely

Qualifications:

1. Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
3. Strong analytic background
4. The ability to work with a high level of autonomy
5. A Bachelor's or greater in Accounting or a related field
6. Has a grasp of the full accounting cycle
7. A strong willingness to learn and contribute to a tight-knit team
8. Experience with M3 Accounting software is a plus
