Position: Standard Operations Project Manager

Are you ready to take your project management expertise to the next level? We’re seeking a dynamic leader to manage and coordinate large, complex projects as part of transformative initiatives. This role requires strategic oversight of project scope, schedule, cost, and risk management, ensuring alignment between financial and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Wizardry: Act as the project controller, managing budgets, forecasts, and actuals. Drive RFP and contract processes while ensuring timely project closure and reconciliation.
  • Strategic Project Planning: Lead the requirements gathering and planning processes, engaging key stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive project scope and secure necessary approvals.
  • Masterful Project Management: Independently manage detailed project plans, identify gaps, and ensure the successful completion of deliverables in a dynamic environment.
  • Resource Optimization: Effectively manage internal and external resources, adapt comprehensive resource plans, and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Proactive Scope & Risk Management: Oversee the scope change process, identify risks, and develop robust mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborative Relationship Management: Communicate project status across all organizational levels and establish effective partnerships to maximize project efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in operations, technology, finance, or a related field, with utility experience preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Project Management Skills: 5-7 years in project management and process improvement; formal project management training is a plus.
  • Leadership Ability: Demonstrated capability to lead and influence others, with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Industry Insight: Understanding of core business processes and industry trends, with the ability to adapt quickly in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Vendor Management Experience: Experience in managing vendor contracts is preferred.
