Reporting to IOA's Sr. Director of BI, the Sr BI Analyst will provide in-depth business analysis and develop sustainable analytic solutions. The Sr BI Analyst supports business decisions and operational processes and develops partnerships with business data users.
Key duties and responsibilities of the position include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Proven experience integrating data from multiple disparate sources for reporting and working with complex datasets
- Working with Director and BI team, determine the best analytic solution to meet specific program needs
- Design reports, visualizations and dashboards that highlight key trends in the business; Understand critical business performance drivers
- Aligns time spent on projects with top BI and organizational priorities
- Analyzes findings and provides insights into trends (the "why") and identify contributing factors that affect variances
- BI Project Lead: Able to draft project plans and independently executes tasks in an appropriate time frame
- Excellent communicator, verbal and written; Tailors the communication appropriately to the recipients, Provides proactive, concise communication to Director on project deliverables and issues
- Use the BI Quality Assurance (QA) process to ensure accuracy in reporting
- Document report/processes/logic and actively participate in department's efforts to improve collective knowledge base
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to understand, gather and document business requirements for reporting and data projects

- Foundational data projects to increase availability of organizational and program data for reporting
Partnership with the Business
- Collaborate with and support IOA's program teams to improve accessibility to data and increase knowledge of their program data
Analytics and Dashboards
- Tailoring solutions to program or department
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Informatics, Analytics, or another related discipline.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in healthcare data, reporting and analytics or relevant field
- 3-5 years developing Dashboards in Power BI or Tableau
- SQL Management Studio and intermediate level SQL query experience
- Strong critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving competencies
- Technical skills: Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues in an effective manner
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to see organizational perspective and strategic view
- Familiarity with data management concepts such as data lineage/lifecycle and data warehousing
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- EHR - Electronic Health Record data experience
- Power BI development experience
- Project Management experience or familiar with PM concepts
COMPENSATION:
Range: $116,489.41 - $136,618.78/annual
