Your Future Team
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Analyst to join our Finance and Real Estate team. The Tax Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the organization is compliant in all relevant tax areas, including income tax, property tax, sales and use tax, and others. This position is for someone who has an income tax background and who is not looking for the status quo. You will focus on income tax and other tax areas to help lead us through gathering, preparing, and reviewing tax matters in order for the organization to meet our tax deliverable deadlines.
What You'll Do
  • Help gather and provide relevant income tax information to ensure timely K1 distribution to shareholders
  • Maintain current sales, use, and miscellaneous tax registrations, including assistance with filing
  • Liaison with external tax preparers and play an important role in our tax deliverables, including K1s and tax returns
  • Prepare ad hoc tax reporting information to the Finance team, as deemed necessary
  • Communicate with outside partners on tax information and tax impact to them, including shareholders, shareholder's accountants, and external tax preparers
  • Identify internal efficiencies to be gained in the tax preparation process
  • Understand tax impact of M&A activities and how they affect the Company's tax footprint
  • Complete special projects related to finance, including preparation of tax-related spreadsheets, tax presentations, tax technical research, and tax policy memo preparation
What You'll Bring
  • 1+ years of experience focused on partnership income tax compliance at a public accounting firm or Company
  • Enhanced knowledge of partnership tax, specifically Form 1065 preparation and/or review, including K1s, as well as relevant partnership tax code sections
  • Proven history of working well cross-functionally across all departments, while also being self-sufficient to work independently on projects and tasks
  • CPA, or pursuing CPA certification
  • Strong grasp on Microsoft suite functionality, especially being proficient in excel
