Position: Nurse Manager
Location: Honolulu, HI
Pay: Up to $83,000/year + $1,000 bonus after working 30 days!
Experience: 1-year experience in Long Term Care preferred
Education:
- College education and degree is helpful
- Current State of Hawaii RN or LPN licensure in good standing
- Adult Residential Care Home Operator Certificate (must be achieved prior to hiring or next available class after hiring)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Type: Full-time; Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Nurse Manager to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Assist in conducting tours of the care homes
- Oversee the clinical and psycho/social care needs of residents
- Communicate resident's care needs with the primary care physician and family members/responsible party
- Conduct staff In-service training
- Assist in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies
- Conduct timely assessments of prospective residents
- Assure safe staff work practices and conduct safety in-service training sessions
- Supervise and guide the Lead Nursing Assistants and Nursing Assistants to ensure daily tasks are accomplished timely
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Work with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ employees
Position Requirements:
- Utilizes computer, desk and cellular telephone, copier/fax to facilitate communication internally and externally
- Utilize computer software (Microsoft Office products) extensively
- Create and maintain a variety of spreadsheets using computer software (Excel)
- Ability to multi-task in all areas of the position
- Intermediate and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software applications
- Strong interpersonal communication skills verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated use of team approach in the work environment
- Progressively demonstrate critical thinking for problem-solving
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
