Director of Operations

Our client, a leading company in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations. The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the production process to ensure optimal efficiency, safety, and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing productivity, and ensuring that the company meets its operational targets.

Focus:

  • Oversee daily operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring that production processes run efficiently and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Lead and manage production teams to optimize workflow, reduce downtime, and improve overall production performance.
  • Drive initiatives for operational efficiency, quality control, and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including quality assurance, supply chain, and engineering, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor production KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage bottling processes and ensure that all beverage/food manufacturing protocols are adhered to.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for scaling production to meet business growth targets.

Skill Set:

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior operations role, with a strong focus on the food or beverage manufacturing sector.
  • A degree is preferred but not required, as extensive experience and a demonstrated track record of success are the most critical qualifications.
  • Proven background in food or beverage production, with a deep understanding of industry-specific best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Prior experience with bottling operations is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams, managing production schedules, and improving operational efficiencies.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions that minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP) and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
