Summary
- Position Summary
- Central Sterile and Reprocessing (CSR) routinely stocks patient care units with sterilized non-chargeable items. CSR personnel are responsible for checking dates of sterile supplies maintained in the storage location on each clinical department. If sterile supplies are maintained in decentralized locations, the patient care personnel is responsible for checking dates. Patient care personnel are responsible for placing reusable dirty supplies/equipment within the dirty utility rooms. CSR personnel make daily rounds to pick up reusable equipment/supplies that need to be decontaminated/sterile. CSR is also responsible for ordering OR disposable supplies. CSR personnel assemble reusable instrument sets, assist with assembly of case carts, and clean, decontaminate and sterilize all reusable instrumentation for patient care areas, physician offices, and community based health care centers.

- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
- License/Certifications: Maintain Certification each year (CEUs - 12 hours).
- Experience: One (1) year experience at Mid Coast Parkview-Health or Sterile Processing Certification. At least one (1) year experience in Sterile Processing.
- Process in a committee/and or a resource.
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
