DevOps Engineer

Seeking a DevOps Lead Engineer to join a fast growing startup in Chicago.

Onsite in River North area of Chicago

Salary Range: 160-175K + Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Development:
• Architect, oversee, and maintain cloud infrastructure for both development and production environments.
• Automation and Collaboration:
• Partner with software engineering teams to build and enhance automation tools that optimize deployment and operational workflows.
• Ensure that our infrastructure and tools are agile and support the integration of new technologies and features.
• Security and Compliance:
• Establish and enforce security protocols and IT standards to mitigate risks and align with company policies.
• Business and Technical Integration:
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure high availability and implement disaster recovery systems to safeguard operations.
• Team Leadership:
• Build and manage a high-performing team to scale our organization in response to growing demands.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure roles, with extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, EC2, EKS, DynamoDB, Aurora, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
• Versed in managing high-scale, high-throughput environments and distributed microservices.
• Proficient in infrastructure as code; Terraform
• Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools and monitoring solutions.
