WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Manage all aspects of facility operations including front of house operations, preventive maintenance, third party contracting, and ongoing venue set-up and tear-down.
  • Oversee all aspects of the shows including settlement with artists.
  • Prepare and distribute post-show reporting for accounting and operations.
  • Oversee cash management in the venue and ensure all procedures are executed accurately.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise part-time staff/supervisors of multiple departments including security, maintenance, merch, coat check, and other event staff.
  • Develop and oversee overhead expense budgets for repairs and maintenance and venue supply expenses.
  • Work with General Manager to assist in the preparation of forecasts and annual operations budget.
  • Maintain and monitor records of all incident reports and investigate/manage all pending cases.
  • Ensure optimum operating condition of all facility equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve guest-related complaints.
  • Implement and execute all policies, procedures, and programs ensuring that company standards are maintained.
  • Manage event staff new hire onboarding and training for in-sourced positions.
  • Manage all training programs and ongoing development of event staff.
  • Oversee Security Guard Certification compliance (PPSO).
  • Develop and maintain municipality relationships including police, fire, rescue, traffic, and other departments.
  • Coordinate and manage approved subcontractors and third-party vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and successful events.
  • Schedule event staff and effectively manage and approve all payroll for in-house departments.
  • Responsible for all required governmental reports and files.
  • Ensure execution of all operating department compliance policies and procedures.
  • Oversee emergency procedure policies and training for event staff.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
  • Proven leader with strong management and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of venue operations and facility management required.
  • Minimum two years experience as House/Operations Manager or a comparable role.
  • Minimum two years experience settling shows.
  • Experience dealing with police and public officials.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple departments with a large number of staff, ideally security staff at events.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Experience using Workday or timekeeping systems is a plus.
  • PPSO or Guard Card Certification required (can be obtained upon hire).
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends; some holidays required.

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without physical accommodation. Must be able to work around loud noises, flashing lights, and hazers. Must be able to respond quickly to situations. This job requires standing, climbing stairs, stooping, typing, sitting, and lifting.
