Description


  • Assist customers with the analysis, characterization, approval, and shipment of various waste streams.
  • Determine the appropriate analytical testing needed for specific waste disposal outlets. Prepare Chain of custodies for waste samples.
  • Provide waste characterization based on analytical, SDS’s, and generator process knowledge.
  • Prepare waste profiles to be submitted to disposal outlets.
  • Provide customers with various disposal outlets based on acceptance guidelines and disposal pricing.
  • Prepare estimates and quotes based on disposal outlet pricing.
  • Prepare shipping paperwork using waste manifesting system - including manifests, LDR’s, placards, and container labels.
  • Coordinate waste transportation with dispatch.
  • Track disposal quantities to assist customers with yearly reporting to TCEQ.
  • Maintain yearly RCRA and Hazardous Materials Management training, including TCEQ and EPA guidelines and updates.
  • Approve and verify accuracy of waste disposal bills from vendors.
  • Maintain relationships with disposal vendors and TSDFs. This includes new disposal outlets and technologies.
  • Assist sales teams with customer site visits and meetings. Provide sales team with assistance on disposal questions and customer inquiries.
  • Utilize TCEQ Central Registry to research customer waste streams.
  • Prepare customer billing and submit to accounts receivable. Verify that billing is correct based on customer rates and includes disposal, transportation, equipment rentals, and washouts.
  • Approve and code disposal vendor bills for accounts payable.
  • Track all disposal revenue and costs. Calculate monthly accruals based on uncaptured revenue and costs.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-oriented field (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or similar subject matter) or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in the hazardous waste industry preferred
  • Obtain and keep current all certifications/licenses required (i.e., 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification)
  • Must be highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Working knowledge of RCRA, TSCA, and DOT
  • Ability to work in outdoor, non-climate-controlled environments

Experience:

  • Environmental Industry: 1 year (Required)
  • Hazardous materials: 1 year (Required)
  • RCRA or DOT: 1 year (Required)
