Job Description
- Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers in the Central Maintenance department to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Draft and design models and drawings in compliance with local, state, and national codes and standards, including but not limited to OSHA, ASME, ANSI, AWS, ISO, and ASCE.
- Exhibit expertise in designing mechanical systems, encompassing areas such as piping and utilities, structural systems, kinematic systems, adhesive and welding methods, manufacturing and fabrication processes, thermal systems, and civil systems.
- Explore new product ideas and methods to enhance plant systems and equipment using tools like AutoCAD Mechanical FEA, Inventor Professional FEA, and SolidWorks.
- Document and update existing product enhancements.
- Assist the engineering team in developing detailed, accurate schedules and reports to facilitate effective management and feedback.
- Manage data input, export, and analysis in the maintenance tracking system (SAP).
- Ensure adherence to industry safety standards.
- Initiate and support continuous improvement programs with innovative design solutions to address plant challenges.
- Perform additional duties as required.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial setting.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor Professional, and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for producing quality reports and clear instructions.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
