Role Summary: AGI is seeking a C-Store Consultant who has worked in an executive capacity within the industry that is able to advise on strategy, and to open doors for AGI as we continue our growth in the Convenience sector.


Who We’re Seeking: The successful candidate must have 5 – 10 years of C-Store Executive experience. The ideal candidate will be equipped with a network of contacts within C-stores.


Reporting Relationship: This role reports to the VP Managing Director, US.


Key Competencies: Advantage has identified the following set of competencies that successful C-Store Consultant demonstrate and develop in the role over time:

  • Expertise in the US C-Store / Retail industry: Deep knowledge about how business is done, challenges between trading partners, actively engaged with current c-store executives
  • Practical Understanding of Market Research Principles: Ability to quickly grasp our data model, methods, and insight-to-action approach, and an understanding of related data and research
  • Solid Industry Connectivity: Building thriving industry relationships, particularly CPG companies and retailers, becoming a trusted advisor, and creating mutually beneficial relationships

What Success Looks Like in this Role: Provide effective Client Service leadership. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Achieve client expansion goals by opening new doors and converting new C-Stores
  • Build the foundation for strong client relationships and prepare the clients for the excellent client experience, added value and insights that come from working with AGI.
  • Ensure new clients are aligned with AGI’s values and can actively engage with our insights, recommendations and action

Location: This role is home-office based.
