Seeking a strong leader to manager the overall operations of State and Lake Chicago Tavern.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience Managing high volume restaurant / nightclub, with direct reports of managers, supervisors, doorman, floor host person, busser, bartender, cocktail servers.
  • Knowledge and experience with Micros POS, Avero Slingshot, Coyle Secret Shoppers, Bevintel, Paycom and Hotschedules a plus.
  • Knowledge of service, service etiquette and standard service practices for full service restaurants, nightclubs and corporate events.
  • Knowledge of standard safety and sanitation practices for food and beverage service.
  • Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, champagne and alcoholic beverages required.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure SLCT operations maintain or exceed service standards to enhance the brand, image, culture and values of theWit in all 3 phases of the operation
  • Responsible for managing the operational efficiency, quality of service standards, noise levels and overall impact of the venue on guest satisfaction on the property.
  • Strong organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attentions to detail and quality of service, ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, associates, and hourly employees; effectively listen and administer instructions.
  • Scheduling weekly, recognizing staffing needs, availability, and request off on Hotschedules as well as general upkeep and inputting data in Paycom Time & Attendance.
  • Communicate successfully at all times with SLCT Employees and Management, theWit Associates, senior executives, Fire and Health Inspectors, emergency service personnel, other outside vendors and high-profile guests.
  • Provides exceptional guest service that differentiates us from the competition.
  • Practice proper cash handling procedures and nightly reporting
  • Articulate Wit and departmental happenings in daily Stand-Up
  • Facilitate and execute banquet events in compliance with service standards and banquet event orders
  • Make decisions quickly and delegate responsibilities accordingly, and remain calm and manage multiple tasks in very high paced and stressful environment.
  • Weekly beverage inventory, ordering and costs analysis utilizing Bevinco reports accurately
  • Actively implement and participate in social media marketing campaigns for SLCT
  • Manages, schedules shifts, trains restaurant staff and monitors staff performance.
  • Venue storage area up-keep/ organization
  • Ability to work all shifts, holidays, weekends and long hours.
