Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a Refrigeration Engineer with the Food & Beverage Group.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting jobsite surveys
- Calculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads
- Assisting in the development of project documentation to include drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.
- Selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems
- Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
- Some travel may be required
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering from a four-year college or university
- 2 years of relevant experience
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience with equipment selection
- Experience developing P&IDs
- Familiarity with managing project invoices
- Experience working directly with clients including marketing to obtain future work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Working towards obtaining PE
- Experience mentoring less experienced staff
