Director, Insights and Analytics - Neuroscience OR Rare Diseases

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company seeking a Director, Insights and Analytics. As the key partner to commercial and marketing leadership, you will help identify and address the most important business problems facing the franchise via insights and analytics. This employee will define and evaluate brand performance, enable data-driven decisions, and deliver actionable insights. Responsibilities include insights and analytics, including primary marketing research, secondary analytics, forecasting guidance, and competitive intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive insights agenda: Scope, lead, and deliver cross-functional projects across core insights functions, including market research, forecasting support, competitive intelligence, brand analytics, and field analytics.
  2. Deliver high-quality ad hoc analyses to MS / Neurology leadership (or Rare Disease) that offer clear recommendations in support of brand strategy.
  3. Collaborate with Advanced Analytics and Orchestration team and other Business Intelligence and Operations teams to support initiatives to guide brand strategy and execution.
  4. Lead Integrated Customer Plan and Annual Operating Plan and provide the commercial team with comprehensive performance, target audience, and market insights to support strategy & resource investment.
  5. Cultivate strong relationships and effective ways of working within the Marketing team and amongst cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, etc.), building consensus/buy-in amongst teams.
  6. Manage insights spend to allocated budget; pursue novel research methodologies that offer new capabilities and ways to optimize project efficiency.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 10+ years relevant experience with a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturer.
  2. Executive presence.
  3. Deep analytics experience.
  4. Solid understanding of commercial business and industry standard datasets – script (IQVIA, Symphony, etc.), Patient (Specialty Pharmacies/Distributors), and Managed Care (Symphony, etc.).
  5. Strong analytical and quantitative skill set, including Excel modeling skills.
  6. Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and logically structure PowerPoint deliverables.
  7. Strong communication and project management skills.
  8. Driven, highly self-motivated, confident, high-energy individual.
