Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Manager of HR Field Operations to join our Americas Human Resources Team where you’ll join a team of professionals who love what they do. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Americas Human Resources team and the Americas field operations teams where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role
This role is responsible for day-to-day support for all aspects of human resources for managed Select Service hotels in the Americas, administrative support for hotel transitions for all managed full-service & select-service hotels, and daily support from full-service hotels on policy interpretation, system concerns, etc.
- Provide HR Specialist support for managed full service and select service hotels. This includes: first line of support for hotel leaders with general questions, advice, policy interpretation, lead compensation planning and localize regional communication.
- Consult on escalated or complex colleague performance concerns for managed full service and select service hotels, including partnering with RVP-operations for general manager leadership development plans.
- Consult on escalated colleague concerns, including Ethics Points as needed for full service and select service managed hotels.
- Manage Ethics Point and escalated colleague issue management – distributes, monitors and closes cases in partnership with hotel and regional HR leadership.
- Attend and represent Americas HR in communicating regional priorities on monthly full service and select GM calls.
- Enhance, maintain and lead end-to-end process for HR support of hotel openings & transitions, including organizing and leading regular functional calls, coordinating task ownership and completion, Americas HR liaison between hotel HR, regional leadership and management company representatives (for divestures & acquisitions).
- Manage Americas HR inbox. This includes directly responding to policy interpretation, general HR inquiries, etc. or re-directing inquiries to SME.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, or a combination of Human Resources and operations experience with a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
- Prior experience with leader coaching and counseling, leading colleague investigations.
- Prior experience with effectively influencing senior operations leaders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Forms.
- Ability to gain credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A hardworking, motivated leader who connects and collaborates easily with people, demonstrates a passion for the business, is positive and trustworthy.
Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality or a related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred.
- Experience with HR Systems such as EIS, UKG/Kronos/Dimensions, Talent Hub and Saba preferred.
