LOADING ASSOCIATE San Antonio, TX {rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank"}Job Type - Full-timeJOB SUMMARY: The Loader is responsible for loading and unloading the companys trucks, third-party trucks, and the activities within the fence of the parking lot. These initiatives may include backing up trucks to dock stations, loading customer orders onto the trucks, supporting the Transportation Supervisor and all teammates in the company, supports with coordinating to ensure that all customer orders get delivered in a timely manner. The Loader will report to the Transportation Supervisor. The incumbent must have the initiative to execute all projects assigned by the direct supervisor or other management. The Loader will have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership abilities and teamwork.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Loads and unloads shipments as required; constant lifting of boxes weighing up to 60 pounds eachLoads trucks according to truck mapping and special instructionsLoads product in a manner to avoid damages and maintain load stability to ensure driver safetyWraps pallets by machine or hand to ensure stabilityUnloads and cleans out trucks as necessaryOperates stock trucks and mechanical jacks throughout the facility constantly in a safe mannerPrepares products for shipment under general supervision by weighing, handling, and transporting as necessaryHand loads product onto trucks as required. Pushing and pulling of pallets with a pallet jackMarks, addresses, loads, and packs products for proper delivery and conditionPicks up, loads, and unloads damaged goods and customer returns, and completes necessary paperworkUnloads product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and places in a designated customer storage areaComplies with all safety regulations and standardsThis may include transporting products down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditionsMaintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand carts, pallets, load bars, and personal protective equipmentMaintains sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer, assists with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard, and proper handling of the product.Assists transportation supervisorWorks all shifts and weekends when requiredMust past DOT physicalPossess leadership and initiative to drive projects effetely and in a timely mannerDrives trucks that contain a box up to 30 feetDrives standard transmissionsAttends all required company meetingsOther duties may be assignedRequirementsEducation: No specific educational requirements; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience: Valid driver's license, 1yr experience in loading and unloading trucks, and 1yr of forklift and pallet jack experience.
