Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize client liabilities and identify opportunities for tax savings.
  • Oversee tax compliance activities, including preparation of journal entries and financial statements related to tax transactions.
  • Provide audit support by responding to inquiries from tax authorities and assisting in audits when required.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to provide accurate, timely advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop tax strategies tailored to their business or personal financial goals.
  • Work alongside our team to continuously improve processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tax reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification (or eligibility and actively pursuing certification).
  • 3-5+ years of tax accounting experience, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with payroll processes is a plus.
  • Strong skills in tax research, Excel, and financial software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax issues to clients.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
