Summary

Livanta LLC is looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics Team. You must have experience working with large data sets and understand how to manipulate and analyze them using various statistical and mathematical methods.

Responsibilities

  1. Experience participating in short-term studies; design, review and evaluation; informatics and management support.
  2. Must possess demonstrated experience using statistics and statistical programming software (SAS, SQL, or similar) to perform complex technical tasks.
  3. The individual gathers and correlates basic data, negotiates strategies for scoring performance on the various indicators/indices, performs routine analyses and coordinates the data management efforts.
  4. Use Excel, SQL code, and SAS programs to manage data.
  5. Protect the confidentiality of patient information through compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH).

Qualifications And Requirements

Essential Knowledge:

Able to create reports, run SAS or SQL programs, analyze data, perform and ensure the quality of data entered into the system, extract and interpret data, and create documentation of processes and programs.

  1. Required: Analysis and reporting skills, Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, specifically using Excel formulas and functions (V lookup, pivot tables, functions). Strong knowledge for getting data out of a database/repository. Knowledge and experience using SQL.
  2. Preferred: SAS experience is strongly preferred. Programming experience. Good understanding of Medicare claims. Understanding of claims review process, case management, and medical record reviews.

Essential Education

  1. Master's degree preferred, but Bachelor’s degree plus five+ years of experience related to a majority of the essential functions of the job.

Essential Skills

Desire to learn and expand data management and analysis skills. Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work as a team member by maintaining good working relationships with co-workers, management, and customers is a must.
