Overview of Manager, Workday People System Superuser
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced functional Workday USA Superuser to oversee and manage the HR module, benefits module, payroll, 3rd party integrations, recruiting module, talent management module, absence and learning module for the USA business. (Other modules may be added to this list in the future). The successful candidate will work closely with the Global HR Systems team and be responsible for driving process improvements and changes, supporting configuration and testing, overseeing data integrity, and supporting reporting and analytics for the Americas region. Experience in the professional services industry is preferred. The role will initially involve supporting the deployment of Workday and will then transition to also supporting operations and future upgrades and improvements.
Responsibilities
Workday Module Management:
- Understand local US requirements and support the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the HR, benefits, payroll, recruiting, talent management, absence, and learning modules, working closely with IT as needed.
- Functional US support for the bespoke performance management Workday Extend app.
- Support US performance management and talent processes from a Workday perspective. This includes biannual performance reviews, salary reviews, and bonus reviews. Understand global processes and coordinate with global partners to align US requirements across operation regions.
- Coordinate with US benefits and payroll vendors, and other vendors as needed, working closely with the L.E.K. Workday Integrations Lead to ensure seamless data flow and compliance.
- Collaborate with employee experience, talent acquisition, and talent development teams to ensure effective use of the modules for various processes, including hiring, performance management, job changes, and employee development, among others.
Process Improvement and Change Management:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive change initiatives through the global change framework.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to redesign workflows for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Be a first line of support for Workday questions that the local People representative is unable to answer prior to sending questions to HR IT team.
- Implement best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Configuration, Testing, and Data Integrity:
- Support system configuration changes and updates.
- Help conduct thorough testing of new features, updates, and integrations, documenting test results and resolving issues before implementation.
- Oversee data integrity within the system, ensuring accuracy and consistency of HR data.
- Support reporting and analytics, providing insights and data-driven recommendations to HR and management teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Workday Superuser or similar role within the HR and talent process areas.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday HR, US benefits, absences, payroll integration, recruiting, performance/talent management, and learning modules.
- Workday Professional Certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and regulations.
- Experience working with third-party integrations for US benefits and payroll.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Experience in the professional services industry is preferred.

- In California, the base salary is between $90,000 - $115,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level. L.E.K. also offers a performance bonus, profit sharing, and other benefits.
- In other locations, competitive pay is commensurate with the role and geography.
