Summary:
The Licensed Mental Health Therapist is responsible for conducting individual, family sessions, and groups with clients to establish / review goals and document progress toward goals. The therapist will facilitate group therapy modalities within scope of their practice. Facilitates clinical problem solving. Ensures timeliness, quality and appropriateness of all clinical documentation. The individual will develop the master treatment plan in a timely manner according to program policies and documents client status and response to treatment. The Therapist will attend Treatment Team, completes assessment, psychosocial histories, and discharge summaries. The Therapist will monitor performance improvement processes to improve patient outcomes and ensure patient satisfaction.
The Therapist will conduct self in ethical and professional manner. This individual shall perform other work-related functions as assigned. The Therapist will continue professional development by participation in professional workshops/seminars. This individual will maintain positive working relationship with all staff. The Therapist will attend mandatory in-services & clinical staff mtgs. The Therapist will recognize boundaries of competence & seeks consultation when needed. The Therapist will perform follow-up on any attached patients or to any key referral sources when needed. This individual will also participate in public speaking and community education opportunities. The expectation is that each Team Member will meet the identified organizational quality metrics and productivity metrics for their assigned work area.
Requirements:
Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a mental health related field. Must possess excellent verbal and written skills. Should have thorough working knowledge of professional ethics, standards, and relevant state and federal laws. Demonstrates understanding of etiology and dynamics of psychopathology, current diagnostic terminology, and psychiatric and psychological treatments. Sophistication required in interviewing, report writing, clinical assessment and consultation with clinical staff required.
