Position Overview:
This position is responsible for leading strategic planning, ensuring alignment between mission, vision, strategy, tactical plans, and execution so that the desired goals and results are most effectively achieved.
Essential Functions:
- Provides thought leadership and contributes in the identification, development, and implementation of strategic priorities and plans for Compeer.
- Collaborates directly with Board of Directors, Executive Leadership and senior leaders to create, monitor and assess effectiveness of strategic plan.
- Develops, strategizes, and plans new interventions that will drive innovation.
- Architects plans to deliver strategic recommendations that integrate multiple insight sources to influence data driven decision making for leadership.
- Partners with business unit leaders to understand business models and identify areas of need or opportunity and source resources for implementation of ideas.
- Finds, nurtures and defines business partnerships with external parties which can create value for the organization.
- Interacts with Farm Credit Administration (FCA) to determine eligibility and/or approval of ideas.
- Promotes a positive work environment that leverages the talents and abilities of team members in achieving organizational and team goals.
- Assesses talent and determines the division of responsibilities and how the team should be organized.
- Develops a competitive landscape analysis to fill prioritized gaps and communicates those integrated insights to stakeholders across the organizations.
- Leads the discovery of new sources of information, market trends, and technology that push the boundaries of how Compeer uses data to understand consumers, enhance their experiences, predict behavior, and anticipate future needs.
Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in innovation, strategy or informatics and/or experience leading the implementation of new solutions, improvement, strategy, etc.
- Three to five years of leadership and management experience preferred.
- Creative, flexible, strategic thinker, able to work in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent listening skills with a strong ability to build cross-functional relationships.
- Willingness to take an unpopular stance and challenge leadership when needed to get them to explore possibilities.
- Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, leadership and influencers.
- Advanced project management skills and the ability to consistently deliver on objectives.
- Ability to distill strategic insights from large amounts of information and provide clear guidance and frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills, robust innovation and problem-solving capabilities. Advanced skills in data collection and analysis to support recommendations and drive decision making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and complex environment with some supervision.
- Strong presentation skills for one-on-one or group presentations, with the ability to translate technical information into non-technical terms and adapt to differing audiences.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members.
- Intermediate skills in using Microsoft technologies including Outlook, Access, Excel and Word.
- Valid driver’s license.
