Accounting Assistant
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Pay Rate: $18/hr.-$20/hr. DOE
An Accounting Assistant position has become available with one of our top clients in Fort Myers.
This is an on-site role focused on data entry, account reconciliation, and transaction processing. Responsibilities also include collections, daily entry, and assisting with reporting. Responsibilities :
Enter payables in a timely manner and properly cost them to the appropriate cost center and project, reconcile vendor balances, schedule and prepare checks.
Resolve any purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and document accordingly, maintain and generate reporting to identify delinquent accounts and other collection measurements. Collections of outstanding receivables on a daily basis through telephone and written communication. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Recent experience working as Accounting Assistant or Accounts Payable / Receivable preferred.
Recent and proficient QuickBooks experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to pay close attention to detail, meet daily deadlines, and multi-task in fast paced environment
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong data entry skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and oral as well as problem-solving skills
Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
