Land Survey Tech

Title: Land Survey Technician
Location: Sugar Grove or Itasca, IL
Duration: Full-Time Direct Placement
Our client, a major provider of civil engineering services in Northern Illinois, is looking to hire a Land Survey Technician to join their team in one of their many locations.
The Land Survey Technician will be an organized, detail-oriented, highly motivated individual to work in their Surveying Group. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication, project collaboration, and teamwork.
Responsibilities Include:

• Field work for construction layout, topographic surveys, subdivision development, ALTA Land Title Surveys, and roadway projects
• Review and follow project scope; maintain clear and accurate field notes and electronic data
• Ability to multitask, adhere to timelines, and remain focused
• Perform physical tasks such as pounding stakes, setting monuments, clearing lines, walking through a variety of terrain, carrying equipment, etc.

Qualifications:

• Working Knowledge of GPS and Robotic Survey Equipment
• Understanding of construction layout, topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA Land Title Surveys, and subdivisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of field conditions, temperatures, and weather
• A valid driver's license
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus, however not required
• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years of related experience
