Career Coaching: Manage and track career management advising for 110+ working professional MBA students in Houston, including career exploration, personal brand, elevator pitch, resumes, interviewing (behavioral and basic case), networking and offerevaluation/negotiations.Advising meetings to be held during the day, evenings, and some weekends. Will involve travel throughout the Houston metro area.Career Education: Develop and implement current and new educational programming to train students on career management strategies. Teach and present to small and large groups. Research industry best practices in career management program content and delivery, and integrate learnings into our curriculum. Explore and define easier ways for students to absorb career information.Career Thought Leadership and Event Management for McCombs Community in Houston: Build relationships and stay abreast of trends in key industries/sectors important to Houston MBA students. Partner proactively with the program team, employer and corporate ecosystem team and prospective employers to generate/facilitate interest, awareness, hiring, networking and career development of Houston MBA students. Nurture alumni engagement to support students in networking with alumni including in-person lunch chats, spring networking event, and other virtual/in-person networking events. Develop new and steward existing Houston-based employer relationships; promote Working Professional MBA program students to employers for MBA and Experienced Professional hiring opportunities. Will involve some cold calling and travel with the goal of creating a vibrant McCombs career community in Houston.Recruiting Support: Partner proactively with employer teams to generate interest and awareness of students from all MBA programs and to facilitate hiring, networking, and career development of the students, in particular in the Houston metro area.Career Communications: Lead all direct studentcommunication/marketingregarding career programming, deadlines and local recruiting events, and coordination with cross-program career activities and events. Leverage communication tools such as social media and newsletter platforms as needed.Marketing and Admissions Support: Market the program to prospective students in Working Professional MBA Admissions events.
