Job Requirements / Description
Job Summary The Account Manager is responsible for selling the Fresenius Kabi specialty injectable portfolio to Hospitals, Surgery Centers, Oncology Centers, Pharmacy Compounders, and Government Facilities. The specialty injectable portfolio includes multiple delivery systems and container types, including freeflex bags, Simplist syringes, flip top vials, and ampules. This position requires the ability to present the value proposition of the device in a feature-benefit sell. Account Manager will grow sales by developing close relationships with pharmacy and hospital decision makers. The Account Manager will also be responsible for promoting and gaining market share on new product launches and managing GPO contract compliance.
The ideal candidate will live in the Denver, Colorado metro area.
The states in the territory include: Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana and a the lower portion of Idaho Responsibilities
  • Increase sales in assigned territory and develop new business opportunities.
  • Launch new products and programs. Desire to excel and accomplish aggressive sales goals.
  • Utilize product knowledge and sales skills to identify and meet customer needs.
  • Strong organization skills to maximize sales opportunities and deliver effective customer presentations.
  • Maintain current database for top accounts. This includes GPO and wholesaler affiliations, key contacts, address, phone, email, etc.
  • Ability to expand relationships to include all levels of pharmacy staff and other key decision makers (Director of Pharmacy, Supervisors, Clinical, and Pharmacists).
  • Ability to navigate hospital networks effectively. Maintain access to hospitals in territory by adhering to local policies and meeting vendor credentialing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact successfully with customers and other team members.
  • Manage projects in a manner that meets objectives and produces results to grow market share.
  • Understand current hospital market dynamics along with key challenges customers face on a daily basis.
  • Exhibit trust behaviors and strong relational skills.
  • Apply effective organization, planning, and time management skills to ensure optimal territory coverage.
  • Achieve yearly expense budgets and adhere to compliance guidelines for HCP interactions.
  • Meet administrative requirements such as sales call entry, timely expense reports, and email communications.
  • Complete all sales training requirements, including all product related training programs, vendor credentialing requirements, and compliance training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Business or Science degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years healthcare sales experience preferred, or significant sales experience in related industry.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel frequently - Auto/Air.
  • Excellent track record of sales growth and exceeding objectives within the hospital setting (Hospital Pharmacy is key target audience, with Nursing, Anesthesia, or Medication Safety experience a plus).
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate skill set with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERPs (SAP preferred), CRMs (Salesforce.com preferred) and knowledge of other database concepts.
  • Must have the ability to travel frequently - Air/Auto
  • Typically requires travel more than 50% of the time. Ability to travel within designated geography and occasionally outside of own geography. Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs.
  • Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
