Our client, a global Automotive company, located in Detroit, MI, is seeking an Enterprise Architect for a contract to hire position.

Job Description

The Enterprise Architect's primary responsibilities include designing and developing the software components that drive our client's multi-tier web environment. The Enterprise Architect will create distributed applications and services, develop back-end API specifications for downstream system interfaces, and will be responsible for the design and development of various aspects of core application services. The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for web and middleware engineering activities for development, test, and production environments. Responsibilities also include acting as a knowledge expert and liaison to other areas within our client's Information Technology for web-based technologies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess 6 to 8 plus years of overall development and 3 to 5 plus years of enterprise software experience. Must have excellent verbal communication, written communication, and social interaction skills.

  1. Experience with large distributed applications and building/operating highly available systems.
  2. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, and asynchronous architectures.
  3. Core competencies in Java, XML, HTTP, Web Services, and SOAP.
  4. Strong working knowledge of Struts and Spring frameworks.
  5. Experience with JQuery and front-end frameworks.
  6. Deep understanding of web services software architectural and design, including security-based implementations.
  7. Strong experience implementing transaction management and persistence using lightweight frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate.
  8. Strong Oracle database programming background, including data modeling skills and PL/SQL design.
  9. UNIX systems background, including system security model, systems administration, and advanced scripting skills.
  10. Understand TCP/IP networks and concepts with the ability to provide basic troubleshooting assistance to infrastructure disciplines.
