POSITION SUMMARY:
As the IT Director specializing in Banner, you will lead a small yet dynamic team, playing a hands-on role in technical aspects while overseeing project management. This is a hybrid role with one of our clients in the Greater Philadelphia area, where you will be a Ferrilli employee working directly at the client site. Your responsibilities will encompass both technical leadership and project management to ensure the successful delivery of professional services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide hands-on technical expertise in Banner, serving as the primary technical resource for the team. Guide the development and implementation of solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and best practices.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate resources, manage timelines, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Lead and mentor a small team of technical professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance, support, and technical expertise to team members to optimize their performance.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and requirements. Communicate effectively with clients to gather project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Participate in hands-on development activities, including coding, configuration, and customization of Banner solutions. Collaborate with team members to design and implement technical solutions that meet client needs.
- Ensure the quality of deliverables through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices. Maintain high standards of technical excellence and ensure solutions meet client expectations.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in Banner and related technologies. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders to drive innovation and optimize solution design.
- 7+ years of hands-on technical experience with Banner, including configuration, customization, and development.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to lead small teams and oversee project delivery.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to understand client requirements and effectively communicate technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Experience with DegreeWorks, Slate, Raiser's Edge, Argos, ILP, Moodle and Starfish systems would be advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of Banner functionality, architecture, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
