Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting. Based in the Oldcastle HQ office, the role is a key financial leadership position overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The director will lead initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency. Developing talent and fostering collaboration to promote a positive work environment will be essential in our inclusive and innovative culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Own the end-to-end accounting close process including the review of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
  2. Oversee/prepare and execute closing journal entries and review entries which may include accruals, amortization, depreciation, etc.
  3. Lead the corporate accounting team in preparation of the consolidated financial reports and statements, for the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
  4. Functional expert in accounting and financial reporting related matters who will provide guidance on US GAAP & IFRS ensuring the integrity of the consolidated financial results.
  5. Support the establishment and enhancement of a strong internal control environment in accordance SOX guidelines.
  6. Develop and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  7. Responsible for oversight of the travel & expense card program administration, Concur platform and PCard administration.
  8. Work cross functionally with our leaders to scale and optimize processes supporting business growth.
  9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development, ensuring effective performance management and talent development.
  10. Work with CRH’s internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely information is provided for examinations, SOX compliance and related financial projects.
  11. Key collaborator with CRH Treasury regarding cash management activities for Oldcastle Infrastructure.

Education/Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA required. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly desirable with at least 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a global public company environment with significant exposure in manufacturing industry.
  3. Strong communicator with history of synthesizing/communicating complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
  4. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.
  5. Continuous improvement mindset with a demonstrated history of implementing business process changes and driving innovation.
  6. SAP, HFM and or similar ERP system knowledge required.
  7. Mergers and Acquisitions experience a plus.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different teams and departments.
