Job Title: Radiologic Technologist - CT
Job Specialty: CT
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (Monday-Wednesday, 7 PM-7 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Experience: Minimum one year of related experience
License: State Radiology Technologist License
Certifications: ARRT(CT), ARRT(N), ARRT(T), CNMT registry, or State CT registry; Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Must-Have: Demonstrated proficiency in patient care, strong time management skills, and knowledge in radiation safety
Job Description:
- Provide high-quality patient care within the medical imaging department
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures maintaining sensitivity to patient needs
- Follow standards of safe radiation practices, adhering to ALARA principles
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and serve as a role model for other technologists
- Act as a clinical resource and maintain current practice standards
- Produce quality images accurately and timely
- Prepare patients for exams, offering information and responding to their needs
- Assist and position patients during exams, observing and documenting any unusual occurrences
- Facilitate patient flow and optimal use of equipment/resources
- Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff
- Assist with patient transport as needed
- Perform IV starts and contrast administration when required
- Perform duties of other registered modalities as assigned by management
- Input charges and required data for procedures and supplies utilized
- Complete required paperwork for each exam performed
- Prepare room, equipment, and exam materials needed for exams
- Maintain equipment operations and notify service when necessary
- Maintain a clean work area and complete quality checks and equipment maintenance documentation
- Identify and follow up on problems proactively
- Establish a constructive rapport with physicians, staff, and system departments
- Maintain a high skill level through ongoing education and information sharing
- Participate in clinical training for students and/or staff technologists
- Engage in professional activities and participate in quality and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all State, Federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations and standards
- Contribute to accreditation as requested
- Demonstrate effective time management and prioritize workload efficiently
- Adapt to changing technologies, policies, regulations, census, and staffing through flexibility
- Floating may be required within a sixty-mile radius; assignments may vary according to policy
Languages: English (Read, Write, Speak)
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree strongly preferred, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
