About the role:

As the manager of the Hardware team, you will manage Lumafield’s Mechanical and Electrical engineers. You’ll work closely with the Product team to define requirements for projects, and then ensure that those projects are brought to customers on agreed upon timelines. You’ll work closely with the team to ensure that their work meets our standards of engineering excellence and will provide feedback and guidance from your experience along the way. You’ll guide and coach your team to continuously improve and deliver the world-class solutions which Lumafield is known for.

What you'll do:

  • Manage Lumafield’s mechanical and electrical engineers
  • Oversee project development and delivery for our Neptune and Triton hardware products
  • Work closely with product managers and Engineering/Product leadership to align on objectives and deliverables for your team
  • Oversee, tweak, and run Lumafield’s Agile-based hardware development cycle
  • Provide high-level architectural and product input as a key stakeholder in our development process
  • Get your hands dirty in order to advance strategic initiatives or keep projects on track.
  • Work from our Cambridge, MA office 5 days per week

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience developing hardware products
  • 2+ years of experience managing hardware teams, ideally at startups
  • 2+ years of experience developing electro-mechanical (mechatronic) products
  • 2+ years of startup experience
